Adding content into your eBook has never been easier. Here, you'll learn how to embed videos, images and even text boxes into pages in your chosen eBook, making the text come to life.
ReadCloud offers the ability to add Enhanced Annotations to your content, making it easy for teachers to add rich content that personalises the resource and boosts engagement. Enhanced Annotations include the ability to add:
- Videos
- Images
- Simple text
- Rich text
- Shapes
Here's how you can add or remove an Enhanced Annotation to your eBook and content.
How to add an Enhanced Annotation
Access the Enhanced Annotations toolbar
In order to add the media of your choice to your chosen eBook, you first need to click and tap anywhere on your page to bring up the header. Then, simply click on the Enhanced Annotation icon in the top right of the eReader. 
From here, a navigation bar will appear on the top left of the page with options of Enhanced Annotations.
Adding a video
After clicking the video icon
, drag a box where you want the annotation to appear. A 'Create Annotation' box will pop-up where you can simply paste the URL of a video or select a preloaded video from the Content Manager using Browse Content and click create.
The video will then appear on your page. At this point you can also share the video with your class by clicking on the Select Arrow 
To watch and play the video, exit the current screen with this button 
Adding an image
The Picture icon 
will take you to the same 'Create Annotation' pop-up, where you can easily insert the image of your choice from any device directly into the eBook via a URL or from the Content Manager accessed via Browse Content.
Adding simple text
The Text icon 
will allow you to add in your own customised text box straight onto the page of your chosen eBook.
From here, you can change the font, size, position and even colour of the text to make the experience even more personalised for your students.
Adding rich text
Use this Enhanced Annotation to create rich text content with HTML 5 features for your students.
Clicking the 
icon will allow you to drag a text box onto the page and click to add text that can be formatted with bold, italics or with bullet points and different colours. This is helpful if you want to add a lot more detail and context for a resource, beyond a simple text comment.
How to remove an image, video or textbox from an eBook
Access the Enhanced Annotations toolbar
In order to remove the media of your choice to your chosen eBook, you first need to click and tap anywhere on your page to bring up the header. Then, simply click on the Enhanced Annotation icon in the top right of the eReader.
Removing a video, textbox or image
To remove an embedded video or a video icon, simply click once on the video you wish to remove. From here, click 'Delete' and follow the prompts to remove the video.
Removing an image or textbox from your eBook is also simple. Just click on the image or textbox you wish to remove. 3 options will appear below the annotation, simply click 'Delete' to remove the image from your eBook.
