You can download the ReadCloud app or access ReadCloud using a web browser.
ReadCloud can be used on any device on all major platforms, including:
- iOS - iPhone, iPad
- Android - mobile, tablets, Chromebooks
- Windows - PC laptops and desktops running Windows 7 / 8/ 10 / 11
- MacOS - laptops and desktop

Option #1 - Access ReadCloud using a web-browser
Visit app.readcloud.com using your preferred internet browser or alternatively follow below instructions to download the ReadCloud app to your device.
Option #2 - Download the ReadCloud app
1. Visit readcloud.com/downloads
Visit readcloud.com/downloads on your device or laptop or navigate to readcloud.com and click the Download tab to quickly access links to download the latest version of ReadCloud.
Alternatively you can search for ReadCloud on the Google Play store or Apple App store for Android and iOS devices.
2. Choose your device or platform to download the app
ReadCloud has native apps for Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android.
Windows or MacOS
Press Download and the install file will begin downloading to your computer or laptop Downloads folder or other specified folder.
Android or iOS
Click the Get it on Google Play button to go to the Google Play store or Download on the App Store to go to the Apple App store
3. Install the app to your device
Windows
Click the downloaded file from your Downloads folder (the file has a .msi extension) to run the Windows Installer and install the ReadCloud app to your Windows based PC laptop or desktop. Press Next to follow the prompts to install the app.
When asked, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device? you will need to press Yes to allow the installer to continue.
The installation should only take a couple of minutes, depending on the speed of your computer, and will display a successful installation message when complete.
MacOS
Open your Downloads folder and click the downloaded file (with a .pkg extension) to run the Apple Mac Installer and press Continue to follow the prompts and install the ReadCloud app to your MacOS based desktop computer or laptop.
The installation should not take too long, depending on the speed of your MacBook or iMac, and will display a successful installation message when complete.
You may be prompted to provide ReadCloud with permissions during installations. If you skip this step, you will have difficulty opening ReadCloud. Follow these instructions to rectify the issue and get ReadCloud working again.
Android
From the Google Play store on your Android phone or tablet, press the Install button. After the app has finished installing, you can press Open to run ReadCloud immediately.
iOS
From the Apple App Store, press the install icon. The installation will start and complete and you can press the Open button after to run ReadCloud immediately.
And you're done!
Find the ReadCloud app on your desktop or Applications (Mac) and enjoy using ReadCloud at home or in the classroom!
App won't open or having trouble installing?
Make sure that you have uninstalled any older versions of the ReadCloud app that may be on your device. Follow these instructions to uninstall apps on your Windows devices or MacOS devices. Android and iOS apps can be deleted from your phone via the Settings menu or the respective app stores.
