How do I access Pearson Places from inside ReadCloud?

This article will cover how you can access the Pearson Places interactive resources from inside the ReadCloud app and how to troubleshoot any access issues.

Accessing Pearson Places from inside ReadCloud 

Pearson Places will appear as an interactive tile on your ReadCloud bookshelf. Click ing the tile will open up Pearson Places inside your ReadCloud app. 

Please note that on iOS only, Pearson Places will open in an external browser on your device.

Setting up a Pearson Places account 

If you are getting an error message about an incorrect or invalid username when accessing Pearson Places, please contact your school ReadCloud Administrator or your Booklist supplier in order to have a new account created for you.

Alternatively, to manually create a new Pearson Places account, please visit the Pearson Places account creation support page

Once you created your Pearson Places account, please update your password inside the ReadCloud app. For more information, please refer to "How to save and edit your login credential".

Resetting your Pearson Places password 

During the Back To School period, your school or bookseller would have set up an account and password so you can log in automatically when accessing Pearson Places from inside ReadCloud. Please speak to your school's ReadCloud Administrator or your Bookseller prior to resetting your password.  

If it is necessary for you to reset your password, from your ReadCloud bookshelf, select the Pearson Places tile, enter your email address or username and select 'Continue'.

Select "Forgot your password" link as shown below and then you will be prompted to enter your school email address for further instruction to be emailed to you.

Once you reset your Pearson Places password, please update your password inside the ReadCloud app. For more information, please refer to "How to save and edit your login credential". 

Your Pearson resources 

Once you successfully log into Pearson Places from inside ReadCloud, you should see your resources on the Pearson bookshelf as shown below.

If you are missing any resources, there are a number of options: 

  • If the resources are purchased by your school, please contact your school's ReadCloud Administrator. 
  • If the resource is on the Booklist for parents to purchase, please contact your Booklist supplier (for example your local bookseller) and purchase the required resource. Your Bookseller will activate the digital access for you or provide you with an instruction to activate it.  
  • If you are using a secondhand textbook, please contact your Booklist supplier to purchase a 'Reactivation' code. 

Teacher's resource

If you are missing your Pearson teacher's resource, please contact your school's ReadCloud Administrator or email opssupport@readcloud.com with all the relevant information. 

To activate a Digital Access Code 

Once you are logged in to Pearson Places from inside ReadCloud, select "Add e-Book" as shown below.

Locate and enter the 12 digit digital access code inside your printed textbook, this is usually printed on the front or back cover, and then select "Add eBook".

Please note: if your printed textbook is a secondhand textbook, you will be asked to enter the 'Reactivation code' which can be purchased from your bookseller (or booklist supplier).

Upon entering the 12 digit access code, your digital resource should appear on your Pearson Places bookshelf.
